AT&T’s 2014 acquisition of DIRECTV is the latest in a long string of important deals that Sullivan & Cromwell’s M&A team has tackled in recent years.

S&C played key roles in AT&T’s $1.9 billion agreement to acquire Nextel International; its $2.5 billion acquisition of Mexican wireless company Iusacell from Grupo Salinas; its $2 billion sale of its ILEC business in Connecticut to Frontier Communications; its acquisition of Leap Wireless for $1.2 billion; and its $4.83 billion deal with Crown Castle International to lease, sublease or sell approximately 9,700 wireless communication sites.
